Primera Entrada
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be Studying Abroad. I expect to meet a lot of really interesting people. Possibly even to meet some lifelong friends.
I picture Santo Domingo being a real laid back type place. Not much running around or hurrying like us Americans do. I believe the only thing that would be hard for me is living with someone who doesn't speak my language natively but, I think I'll adapt quickly. I picture my family experience will be a challenge for me because it takes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to adapt to someone else. However, I feel this will only make my experience that much more enjoyable. I can definitely say that I am extremely excited to be learning about the history from there. I am after all, studying History also.
If I have gained only one thing from this entire Study Abroad program it would be, for me to become more confident in my Spanish speaking abilities.
